2016 PEDAL 4 PATTISON’S 4-HOUR SPINNING® MARATHON

Fundraising Guidelines and Tips

Each bike must raise at least $250.00 (in addition to the $25.00 registration fee). Whether you are riding alone or sharing a bike, $250.00 is the minimum per bike. We strongly recommend that you consider establishing a goal over the minimum amount. Chances are you’ll get what you ask for, if not more! Remember, our goal is to fully fund summer camp. Imagine: if each cyclist or team raises $1500.00 (or more!), we will continue to surpass our goal by leaps and bounds! BELIEVE!

All fundraising dollars (minimum of $250.00) must be turned in at event sign-in (night before the ride). Don’t worry, we’ll provide you with all the check-in details as the date approaches.

There are several ways to raise money for P4P:

CREATE YOUR PERSONAL FUNDRAISING WEBSITE – IT’S FAST AND ASY AND THE QUICKEST WAY TO GENERATE FUNDS! Go to: https://www.firstgiving.com/pattisonsacademy/pedal-4-pattisons and click on the Fundraise button. If you already have a First Giving account, then you can login and begin creating your page; otherwise, you will need to create an account first and then follow the steps for creating your page. Consider adding pictures of yourself and your teammates as well as an event video. Depending on your team’s size, you can create one page or several. After you create your page, click on “view live.” You can now share your page with family and friends for fundraising. Encourage them to share the link and spread the word about this amazing event!

Collect cash and checks. Checks should be made out to “Pattison’s Academy” with Pedal 4 Pattison’s written in the memo line. A credit card machine will be available at event sign-in.

CONTEST RULES:

Here’s how it works: Any rider or team that raises a minimum of $3500.00 gets their name thrown in the Blade Giveaway hat. For every additional $1000.00 you raise, you get another ticket thrown in the hat! So, the more you raise, the better your chances are!

 

  • All monies must be turned in at the latest by event check-in the morning of the event BEFORE the event starts at 8am, NO EXCEPTIONS. Bring all your fundraising dollars (printouts of Firstgiving page, cash, checks, etc.). Any offline donations indicated on Firstgiving pages must be turned in as cash at event check-in to be entered into the giveaway.

 

  • Your name or team name will be entered into the drawing. One ticket for raising $3500 and receive additional tickets for every additional $1000 raised.

 

  • Solo riders or teams on one bikeonly are eligible. No collections of monies from multiple bikes will be accepted for entry.

 

  • Drawing will be held at the end of the event by Heath Debish, our awesome regional Star Trac rep extraordinaire!

 

  • Spinner® Blade list price is $2300.00 – this is a SWEET prize, people!

FUNdraising Competitions and Motivational Video

Put the FUN back in FUNdraising with a little competition…

FUNdraising Competition 1: Raise $1,000 or more for your bike, and you automatically get to participate in “early bird” registration in 2014. Piece of cake!

FUNdraising Competition 2: We all know that everyone has their favorite spot in the Spinning® room. Here’s your chance to pick where you want your bike in the gym on event day:

The first five people (solo rider or team) to raise $2,500 by February 23 will have VIP first choice of selecting their spot before the rest of the riders.

We know that you will raise even more, of course, but the first five riders to hit $2,500 will get rewarded for their efforts right away.

When you hit that $2,500 mark, email us at pedal4pattisons@gmail.com to let us know. Get fierce. Get competitive. Don’t let anyone else beat you to the punch. It’s a race to the finish – who will get there first? Let’s get it started!
